2. Data processed and purposes
2.1 Browsing the website
In the course of their normal operation, the IT systems that run this website collect certain personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of internet protocols (IP address, browser type, operating system, time of the request, pages visited). This data is used solely for security purposes and for anonymous aggregate statistics, and is deleted within 30 days. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
To count visits we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which measures page views in aggregate, without cookies and without profiling visitors.
2.2 Contact form and quote requests
The data you provide voluntarily (first name, surname, email address, phone number, message) is processed in order to answer your request. Legal basis: steps taken prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Retention: 2 years from the last contact, unless the law requires otherwise.
2.3 Member area (partners, dealers, technical professionals)
To register for the member area we collect: first name, surname, email, company, phone number, professional role and password (stored as a bcrypt hash, which cannot be read). The data is processed to provide access to the restricted content, manage the business relationship and send service communications. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Retention: for the whole duration of the relationship and up to 5 years after the account is closed, unless the law requires otherwise.
2.4 Cookies and similar technologies
The website uses the technical cookies it needs to work. For analytics and marketing cookies, please see the Cookie Policy. Consent can be withdrawn at any time through the cookie settings.
2.5 Site assistant (Piero della Francesca and Luca Pacioli)
The Italian pages of the site offer an automated assistant that answers questions about T-Block® products using the content published on the site and, for registered users, the Reserved Area. The assistant says so when it opens, makes no decisions with legal effects on you, and its indications on models and load capacities are assumptions to be checked with our technical office.
Your questions. To produce the answers, the text of your question is processed by an artificial intelligence service provider acting as data processor on our behalf (Art. 28 GDPR), which does not use it to train its models. To improve and train our assistant we keep the text of the questions in anonymous form: without IP address, conversation or user identifiers or time of day, after automatically removing names, contact details and addresses. Please do not write personal data that is not needed. Answers are not stored. The anonymous log is deleted after 12 months. As for the rest of the site, technical request data is logged to protect the service from abuse (see 2.1). Legal basis: legitimate interest in answering and improving the service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
If you ask to be contacted. If you choose to talk to our technical office and give your consent, we process your name, company (if any), the contact you provide (phone or e-mail), your notes, the project data collected in the chat (type of structure, soil, size, location, installation method and, for registered users, the indicative load) and your last questions, in order to contact you about that request. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and pre-contractual measures at your request (Art. 6(1)(b)). The request reaches us by e-mail and with an internal notification on company phones that contains no personal data. If you choose WhatsApp, you send us the pre-filled message from your own app, and WhatsApp's privacy notice (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) also applies. Retention: 12 months from the request, then automatic deletion, unless the request becomes a business relationship (quote or order), in which case the periods in 2.2 apply. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to [email protected].
3. How the data is processed
Data is processed with IT tools in compliance with the security measures required by the GDPR. The website is hosted on Aruba Cloud servers in data centres located in Italy (EU). Authentication to the member area uses JWT tokens that expire after 7 days and are sent over HTTPS only.
4. Categories of recipients
Data is not passed on to third parties for their own commercial purposes. It may be disclosed to:
- Technical service providers (hosting, email) acting as data processors under Art. 28 GDPR;
- Cloudflare, Inc., which delivers the website (CDN) and protects it from abuse, including through the Turnstile service on the sign-in and registration forms, acting as a data processor;
- The artificial intelligence service provider that processes the questions put to the site assistant (section 2.5), as data processor;
- The competent authorities, where required by law.
The website is delivered through the network of Cloudflare, Inc. (United States), and YouTube (Google) videos load only when the user clicks on them. Any transfer of data to the United States takes place on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or of the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission (Articles 45 and 46 GDPR).
5. Your rights
Under Articles 15–22 GDPR, you have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased (the "right to be forgotten"), restrict its processing, receive it in a portable format, object to its processing, and withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
To exercise these rights, simply write to [email protected]. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
6. Changes to this notice
The data controller may update this notice. Substantial changes will be notified to member area users by email. The updated version is always available on this page, with the date of the latest revision.
