Carports and canopies
Covering parking spaces and rest areas without concrete foundations, with or without solar panels on top.
In a car park the paving is already laid, and that is where concrete gets expensive: break up, dig, pour, wait, make good. T-Block® ground screws go into the yard and carry the structure from below.
Three scales, three kinds of client
A home parking space and a municipal car park don't have the same client or the same constraints. The foundation, however, is the same.
At home
Covered parking space, lean-to, garden canopy
The courtyard or driveway is already paved. The screw goes into the yard without lifting the paving blocks or redoing the sub-base: drill, screw in, assemble. At end of life it is unscrewed and the yard goes back to how it was.
At work
Staff parking, parking areas, EV charging
The car park stays in use during the works: you proceed row by row, without a site across the whole area, without concrete mixers and without curing times. Each point is independent of the others.
In public space
Municipal car parks, parks, bike charging, rest areas
Removable, reversible works: when the concession or the service life ends, the area goes back to its original state without demolition and without disposing of concrete.
How it is installed
The yard is already there. It stays.
On an existing car park, a concrete footing means breaking the paving, digging, pouring, waiting for it to cure and then rebuilding the base. With a ground screw you drill one hole, screw in the anchor, and the paving around it stays in place.
1 · Screwed into the yard
A hole in the paving and the screw goes in, with light equipment. No concrete mixer on site.
2 · The paving stays
The hole is local: the surrounding blocks are not lifted and there is no sub-base to rebuild.
3 · Assemble and use
No curing time: the structure is mounted on the ground anchors and the parking space is available again.
Why it pays off in a car park
The yard is not broken up
This is the difference that matters in a car park: the paving is already there. A concrete footing means breaking it up, digging, pouring and then making good. A ground screw needs one hole and nothing else.
The car park stays open
No large site area, no truck mixers, no twenty-eight days of curing. You work row by row and hand the spaces back as you go.
Levelling on the nuts
Yards have drainage falls. The height of each ground anchor is adjusted during assembly without redoing the base: the structure stays level even on ground that isn't.
Genuinely removable
At end of life it is unscrewed and taken away. No buried concrete block to break out and dispose of, no sub-base to reinstate.
With panels, or without
A canopy is useful even when it doesn't produce energy: shade in summer, shelter from hail, protection for the bodywork, a covered charging point.
The foundation is the same in both cases. If you only want a cover today, you can add solar later without redoing the ground anchors: they are sized once and the structure stays ready.
For public covers the same principle applies to bicycle charging shelters and equipped rest areas.
How many ground screws does your car park need?
For a canopy, the real question is how many ground anchors you need and whether the ground can carry them. Send us the plan of the area, the number of spaces and the type of structure: we reply with the anchoring layout and a clear quote.
