Media and press

Media and press: current topics

This is where we gather the topics we are working on right now, with our in-depth pages, and the articles from the press that cover them. If you write about foundations without concrete, Italian beach concessions or structures that can be dismantled, this is where to start and who to contact.

Highlights

The hot topics of these weeks and our pages that explain them.

  • Italian beach concessions

Italian beach concessions: the model tender is on its way

At the end of September 2026 the Italian Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport presented the draft national model tender that municipalities will use for the beach concession tenders. Existing concessions remain valid until 30 September 2027 and tenders must be launched by 30 June 2027. Our page explains where the foundations of the structures come in: how far they can be dismantled, how the beach is handed back, off-season installation. With sources and dates.

  • The guide

    Ground screws: the complete guide

What ground screws are, how they work, how they are installed, on which soils, what they are used for and how they compare with concrete: all on one page, with the most frequent questions. The starting point for anyone writing about foundations without concrete.

Our projects in the press

Articles about building sites where we made the ground screws. Publications often do not name who made the foundations: for each project we explain what we did, quote an excerpt from the article and link to the full text.

The articles are in Italian.

2017-2018

Spiagge della Luna, Misano Adriatico

Misano Adriatico (Rimini, Italy) · Cooperativa Bagnini di Misano

What we did

The stainless steel ground screws under the buildings of the new beach resort (beach plots 39 to 46) are T-Block, designed for this project and screwed into the sand with our tracked machine in November 2017. They are the “ground anchoring system made of stainless steel screws” described on the project board on the seafront.

The project board

The “Design criteria – Beach resort redevelopment” board of the Cooperativa Bagnini di Misano Adriatico on the seafront, with an overview of the resort, the pool and text panels. The “Removability of buildings” panel of the board: the text on the stainless steel screws and, below, two photos of the installation and of a ground screw.

Text of the “Removability of buildings” panel (in Italian):

«Il carattere di completa amovibilità è garantito mediante la realizzazione di un sistema di ancoraggio al suolo costituito da viti in acciaio inox, senza la realizzazione di opere di fondazione in cemento armato.»

2018

Bagno 28, Rimini

Rimini, Marina Centro · today Bagno 28A Belvedere

What we did

The new Bagno 28, rebuilt without concrete and described by the City as the first example of a renewed beach resort in southern Rimini, stands on T-Block stainless steel ground screws: a model designed for this job, load-tested on the beach and screwed into the sand in December 2018.

2020

Aquamarina, Giulianova

Giulianova (Teramo, Italy) · Aquamarina beach chalet

What we did

The foundations of the Aquamarina beach chalet are stainless steel T-Block screws with a round flange and U-bracket, screwed into the sand with our tracked machine in May 2020; on top, glulam beams and the deck. The Il Centro article describes them and names the T-Block system.
