Events and temporary structures

Temporary foundations for events

Install, use, remove, reuse. T-Block® ground screws are well suited to temporary structures: marquees and tensile structures, stages, trade fair stands, seasonal installations.

The advantage of removability

Tensile structure between the trees of a park during an event, fixed to the grass with T-Block ground screws.

Tensile structures

Secure anchoring for tensile structures and air-supported domes. They work in tension and hold the structure in place even in strong gusts of wind. Loads can be verified with on-site tests.

Two large circus big tops set up on the lawn of a public park, with some T-Block ground screws lying on the grass in the foreground before installation.

Fairs, marquees and shows

Marquees, stands, markets and outdoor exhibitions. Screwed in on arrival and unscrewed on departure: no trace is left on the lawn.

Stages and platforms

Stable foundations for stages, platforms and temporary decks. Distributed load and a stable structure.

How it works for events

The park lawn before the set-up, with the loggia in the background: the points are chosen without opening any excavation.
1

Site survey

We assess the ground and the needs of the temporary structure.

2

Installation

The foundations are screwed in quickly. No waiting time.

The stage set up on the lawn with the festoon-light pole already anchored: the structure is ready with no curing time.
3

Use

The structure is ready for use and secure straight away.

The park lawn under the trees: where the screws were, no footings or concrete are left to break out, just soil.
4

Removal

Unscrew and remove: they leave no trace. The screws are reused.

The four steps at the same event: the stage and festoon lights at the Giardini dell'Orticoltura in Florence. A historic public park, where digging is not allowed.

Frequently asked questions

Which temporary structures are ground screws used for?
Tensile structures and air-supported covers, marquees, stands, outdoor markets and exhibitions, stages, platforms and temporary decks.
What is left on the lawn after the event?
Nothing: they are unscrewed at departure and leave no trace. The screws are reused for the next set-up.
Do they hold a tensile structure in the wind?
Yes. The anchors work in tension and hold the structure in place even in the wind.
Can they be used in a historic park or a cloister?
Yes. At the Giardini dell'Orticoltura in Florence, a historic public park where digging is not allowed, they held the stage and the festoon lights. In the Second Cloister of Santa Croce, for the Genius Loci festival, three scaffold-tube structures stand on twelve headless T-Block screws: no digging, no concrete.
How is the work organised?
We assess the ground and the needs of the structure, the foundations are screwed in with no waiting time and the structure is ready for use straight away. At the end of the event everything is unscrewed and taken away.
