Installation with a tracked mast machine
A tracked machine with a vertical mast: the mast holds the T-Block straight while the rotary drive screws it in, and the pilot-hole tool fits on the same mast. It is the machine for solar farms, industrial installations and beaches.
When to use it
It is used when there are many T-Block ground screws that must all sit in line and at the same height: the mast holds them vertical one after another. The tracks take the machine over sand and muddy fields as well.
- Ground-mounted solar farms
- Beach clubs: decks, cabins, structures on sand
- Industrial and agricultural installations
- Parks and green areas with many points
What you need
The pilot-hole tool is part of the machine and is not in the catalogue. Between the rotary drive and the T-Block you use the same adapter as on the excavator.
The adapter
For mast machines with a threaded cone and a 50 mm male output: 50 mm socket, PMBB coupler and the socket for the T-Block head.

For headless T-Block models for a Ø60 post
The temporary hexagon interface slides into the top of the T-Block and takes the 60 mm socket. It comes off when installation is finished.
Step by step

Taglio di Po (RO), solar farm Step 1: Bring the machine and the T-Block screws to site
The tracked machine arrives on a lorry and comes down the ramps; the T-Block screws are laid out along the rows.
-
Giulianova, Aquamarina Step 2: Set out the field
The surveyor, or a GPS, pegs out every point; the laser level gives the height of the heads.
-
Step 3: Pilot hole on the same mast
In hard or stony ground, the pre-drilling tool is fitted to the mast and the pilot hole is opened at the pegged point. Pre-drilling and screwing in happen on the same machine: once the hole is done, you switch to the rotary drive.

Switch to the rotary drive, attach the T-Block, and the mast keeps it straight while it turns and goes into the ground.

Step 5: Check, row by row
Plumb and level are checked on every T-Block: a spirit level on the flange shows whether the head is level.

Step 6: Fix the structures
Panel frames, decks and roofs are fixed on the heads. There is no concrete to wait for.
Different machines, the same installation
The installation can be done with different tracked machines: what you need is the mast, the pre-drilling hammer and the rotary drive. In the photos, the green machine on the beach and the orange one in the Monterchi park and on solar farms: the ground changes, the sequence stays the same.
